I have always been drawn to India….so when my friend who frequently travels the Third World asked me to go with her, I was delighted. The plan was to stay with an India family in a village and travel to an orphanage for mission work. Our hosts were the most warm, welcoming and caring people you could ever hope to meet. They opened their lives to us with great generosity.

India is difficult to put into words. It is a country of extreme contrasts that live side by side. It is an intoxicating place. I found it to be both beautiful and ugly, simple and mysterious. Your senses are awakened at every turn. The colors, smells, tastes, music … all of it so different, definite and distinct. My favorite thing, of course, was the people. Here is a small sampling of my images from India.
